Green Detox Smoothie

November 28, 2014 By Aubrie Cornelius

How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? IMG_6526

This year, because of all of the wedding celebrations, my in-laws decided to have our family dinner at The Grand American Hotel in Salt Lake City!  If you live around the area, I wholeheartedly recommend checking out their buffet! It was so nice to have a delicious and somewhat traditional Thanksgiving meal without the prep and clean up.  In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever had a more relaxing Thanksgiving! But let me just say that I am STUFFED! I definitely took the “all you can eat” seriously and am currently sprawled out on the sofa nursing a food coma.

Hopefully you all had an equally successful meal and are looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!  Since I’m sure most of us are feeling like we couldn’t possibly eat another bite (unless it happens to be pumpkin pie, of course),  I decided to whip up a little detox smoothie to help clear out your system in time for all your Christmas parties!

And, because who wants to slave away in the kitchen the day after Thanksgiving, there are only 5 ingredients (including the ice!) and it takes about 5 minutes to throw together.

IMG_6536To make this extra special, I added a layer of banana and pineapple pureé on top and it turned out so well! I’m so excited for you guys to try this.

IMG_6542 Fun fact about this smoothie, leading up to Stephen and my wedding I made this every. single. day (sometimes twice a day) and by the end of our engagement my skin was glowing (and clear!).  Not to mention I had way more energy than normal.  In short, this smoothie is incredible.  You need this in your life!
