This Summer Fruit Galette recipe is made with apricots and nectarines but is versatile enough to be made with any fruit of your choosing. Only 5 ingredients and prepared in just 10 minutes!
This INCREDIBLE galette is seriously so easy to make (you can even use store bought pie crust or puff pastry dough if you’re short on time) and is one of the best desserts I’ve ever made.
What is a Galette?
A galette is round shaped tart or pie that is typically made with flaky pastry dough and can be filled with fruit, vegetables, cheeses, meats or other tasty ingredients. The edges of the dough are partially folded over the filling with the center left open to showcase a window of the savory filling. Galettes originated from France and the word is derived from the French word “galet”, meaning pebble, resembling the round shape of the pasty.
Summer Fruit Galette Ingredients
It has only 4 ingredients, not counting the pie crust or whipped cream topping; apricots, nectarines, a touch of brown sugar, and honey.
Any combination of fruit will work with this recipe and you can use frozen or fresh fruit. If using frozen, there is no need to defrost the fruit since it will be baked.
You can make you’re own homemade pie crust or use store bought pie crusts or puff pastry dough.
How to Make a Fruit Galette
Simply roll out a large circle of dough, then add the fruit in the center, sprinkle with the brown sugar and honey then fold the corners gently around forming a shape similar to the one above. Then brush with an egg wash mixture, and bake until golden brown and perfect (about 35 minutes)!

- Drizzle with honey and place in the oven to bake for about 35 minutes or until the crust is nice and golden brown.
- Serve warm with fresh whipped cream!
Notes
Make your own homemade pie crust or use 2 (9 inch) refrigerated pie crusts or 1 sheet (half of a 13.7 oz box) of frozen puff pastry, thawed.
